Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler (FT) 
As a Staffing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all units are staffed appropriately according to census and acuities in accordance with applicable federal guidelines for staffing. 
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize and implement a sustainable staffing strategy
  • Schedule and coordinate with nursing staff to fill in schedule holes for each shift
  • Make sure Daily Staffing is in place for Nursing Department.
  • Monitor the company's staffing needs and take actions to staff accordingly by ensuring coverage for callouts
  • Work with staffing agencies as needed
  • Identify hard to fill roles and take proactive actions
  • Assist in candidate screening and interviewing
  • Assist with new employee orientation
  • Design and plan work shift schedules
  • Provide assistance with timekeeping for payroll purposes
  • Create, present and submit reports to management
 
 Requirements:
  • 1-year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator / Scheduler or similar role
  • At least 1-year long term care facility experience 
  • Knowledge of staffing policies, procedures and best practices
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
  • Reliable with respect to confidentiality.
  • Minimum: high school diploma or GED
  • Competent with OnShift, Scheduling, Outlook, Chronos, SmartLinks, Eshyft
